Well, thats pretty much the post. Started from Andheri West, Mumbai, took the NH8 (Western Express Highway) to Manor – Wada – Suryamal – Vihigaon – Khodala – Igatpuri and back by the NH3.
Its a picturesque route, not many places to stop and snack. But plenty of tribal villages, small chai tapris, and beautiful forests. Get this drive done before the horrid real estate industry destroys it. I was depressed to see the entire Khodala hills cut bare naked and all remaining trees lopped. Can easily be done in a day. Carry snacks with you.
